Had a Interview To Work Here The Manager Was Very Nice and The Assistants were Cordial and Detailed about the Job But I Had Got Hired Elsewhere Would Work for them In the Future if Present
They were great and did everything in a timely manner. Im an organizer and they moved my client. They did a great job and were able to lift the juke box! They also clean up after themselves so I was very happy. Brandon and Jacob (the only names I remember) were wonderful and professional.
I can’t say enough great things about the crew who moved me today! They were super efficient, professional, and hardworking. I absolutely HATE moving but they made the whole process a breeze. This was my second time using Mark the Mover and I will always choose them anytime I am moving.
We used the mark the mover for an apartment move several years ago and had a good experience. When it was time to move again, we decided to give them a call. They made the moving process so easy. They were so nice and helpful. Nothing was broken in the move. They were also quick and efficient. They made sure everything was taken care of.
I can’t say they didn’t move quick. However they moved so quickly they destroyed two pieces of very expensive furniture, damaged the walls and scuffed the paint in our brand new home. When dealing with the claims “manager” we were told they had a contractor that would come out and fix our walls. The issue? New homes are under warranty and did not want anybody but the builders to fix so the home stayed under warranty (sheet rock work). Somebody named Delrin or maybe Deleon spoke very aggressively to my wife and threatened that if we had anybody but him fix the furniture and our home we weren’t covered. To make a long story short. We spent $2,000+ with Mark the Movers. Spent another $1,000 On replacing furniture after settling for half the value and fixed our home ourselves. The entire process was a a cluster. Our home also smelled like cigarettes after the movers were in there. Chalked it up as a loss, we will never use them again and can’t recommend. EDIT 1: Since the business wants to get smart with their review. Let me elaborate. They wanted to bring a contractor in that was speaking rudely to my wife. I believe my wife over a moving company, sorry guys. We just bought a new house, it was just damaged by your employee's, we want it done OUR WAY not yours. Builders don't cover repairs/modifications by other contractors. It's workmanship/warranty 101. Assertive haggling? I'm protecting my assets and my money. I'm not sure I see an issue with trying to protect and make sure my assets are replaced 1:1 when damaged by a 3rd party. I did NOT sign anything stating that "everything was great", we had the manager during the move take photo's of the damaged wall, paint, and furniture. We even fed them lunch, how on earth are we aggressive? They took a 30 minute break while we still paid them...we tipped them nicely due to it being 100*F outside and it's a 3 story townhouse. They worked hard, carelessly but hard. They have family's to take care of. The marble table that was damaged? Brass base, can't be "sanded and stained". The mirror that was broken? The legs were glued by the movers when it broke, after instructing them not to. The mirror would have to of been broken again in the same place, to remove the glue without traces of repair. I understand that the company wanted to take care of us, but I just could not get on the same page. I felt low balled, and like they wanted to make a settlement and brush me away. Why not go above and beyond and just take care of your clients? Why not waive the deductibles since we took care of fixing our own home on our own time (leaving work to meet the builders) and saving you money? It's about working together to complete a task and shake hands. That's what business is, no? I guess that day is gone, where companies just want tot make sure they get repeat clients. Please do not reach out to us in regards to this review. We do not wish to communicate further with Mark the Movers. End of Edit 1
